Rowan County Sheriff's Office wishes to purchase a Lenco Armored Vehicle, also known as a Bearcat, from the NC Sheriff Association contract. Purchasing from this contract are allowed as an exception to the bidding laws under NCGS 143-129(e)(3).
The Sheriff has identified $130,000 from asset forfeiture funds and the remaining balance of $194,852 will need to come from general fund - fund balance appropriation.
Attached are the quote from Lenco, NC Sheriff Association pricing sheets and budget amendment.
Board of Commissioners to authorize the purchase of a Lenco Armored Vehicle for an amount not to exceed $324,852.

Approve attached budget amendment.
