Rowan County is under contract with Trinity Services Group, Inc. to provide food services at the detention center and jail annex. The contract allows for an increase based on consumer price index (CPI) after the first 3 years. We are currently in year 3. Trinity is requesting an increase of 12.1% effective October 1, 2022. The attached letter explains the requested price increase. At this time no budget amendment is needed but Finance and Sheriff Office will monitor closely.
