On December 6th, 2021 the Board approved the use of Article 46 Sales Tax revenue to provide $50,000 for each of Rowan County’s Volunteer Fire Departments and Rescue Squad to help offset loss revenue and additional expenditures related to COVID.
In conjunction, please consider including the following seven Municipality Fire Departments to receive the same $50,000 from Article 46 Sales Tax revenue. The fire departments are located in Kannapolis, Salisbury, Spencer, East Spencer, Rockwell, Faith and Granite Quarry.
For the Board to approve the use of Article 46 Sales Tax within Fund Balance to provide $50,000 for each of the aforementioned Municipality Fire Departments and for the Board to approve the attached budget amendment allocating these funds.
