BACKGROUND
NCDOT has proposed the accompanying agreement with Rowan County to allow use of the Animal Shelter parking lot for parking and turnaround when its employees need to maintain the access road. The Animal Shelter's access road is currently being built and DOT requests this agreement be in place prior to the County offering the road for inclusion into the state's secondary road maintenance program.
RECOMMENDATION
The County Attorney has reviewed the agreement and has deemed it satisfactory and consistent with its intent. As such, Staff recommends the Commission authorize the County Manager to sign the attached agreement and forward on to NCDOT for consideration / processing.
