On October 18, 2021 the BOC approved for the Bailiffs to have body cameras and for them to be added onto the current contract the County has with Axon as a Sole-Source. The County encountered several delays with getting this contract in place and final signature was on January 25, 2022. Axon has reached back out and is willing to reduce the cost of the lease based on a May 1 2022 start date instead of the original November 1, 2021 start date. The total cost will be reduced by $25,654.57 over the life of the agreement.

The Sheriff and Purchasing Director recommend that the Board of Commissioners authorize the County Manager to approve the amended sole-source agreement with Axon for a total cost of $63,787.83 for the bailiff body cameras.
