| Authorize Soil & Water Conservation District To Apply for Funding through StRAP |

| | | | | | | | Rowan SWCD is asking the Rowan County Commission for permission to apply for StRAP funding on behalf of Rowan County, for the purpose of stream debris removal from our County’s creeks and streams. The Rowan SWCD Board of Supervisors voted to endorse this program and seek funding in their regular Board meeting held on January 20, 2022. The application window for these funds is short, and application for funding allocations must happen swiftly. We hope that you see the value in keeping our creeks and streams clear of debris in order to prevent the loss of our County’s landowners’ life and property. This funding has been long needed and awaited.
Authorize Soil and Water Conservation District to apply for the funding on behalf of the County. There will be no cost to the County.
