NCDOT is ready to move forward with this Kimball Road bridge project and has acquired the needed rights of way from other adjacent landowners, and now needs this portion of county-owned property.
This offer sets up a voluntary sale/purchase and avoids the need to condemn property and the process that goes with condemnation.
Attached:
- Summary Offer Page for the acquisition of land for NCDOT right of way and easement;
- Deed for the right of way and easement;
- map sheets of the impacted area.
The County Attorney recommends:
- To accept the offer of the State of North Carolina to acquire property for the Kimball Road bridge project as provided in the Summary Offer for the area shown in map and described in the Deed; and
- Authorize the Board Chair to executed all documents necessary to finalize the NCDOT acquisition and transfer the subject property.
