On September 7, 2021, the Board of Commissioners approved the purchase of a whole body scanner for the Sheriff's Office as Item V on the consent agenda. The Scanner has been installed and it was realized that it did not have the thermal scanner. This was an over-site by both the County and the vendor. The vendor is willing to split the cost of the thermal scanner that was part of the original quote from April 2021. The County will need to pay an additional $5,000 to have the thermal scanner added to the whole body scanner. The original purchase of the scanner was not to exceed $139,000 this will bring the total cost of the whole body scanner with thermal sensor to $144,000 plus tax.

The Sheriff and Purchasing Director recommend that approval be given for the purchase of a thermal sensor from Tek-84, Inc. not to exceed $5,000 plus tax.
