On November 11, 2020 - The NC Department of Commerce posted the following to their website regarding the CDBG-CV First-Come, First-Serve Grant Opportunity:
The North Carolina Department of Commerce Rural Economic Development Division has had tremendous interest in the NC Coronavirus (CDBG CV) Program. At this time, we have exceeded the requests for the $28,517,231 available. Effective today, we will not be accepting any additional applications for funding. If additional funding becomes available, we will send notification as quickly as possible.

The Board of Commissioners had voted to hold a scheduled 2nd Public Hearing as required by the CDBG-CV Grant program.
Respectfully request that the Board of Commissioner cancel the 2nd Public Hearing as there has been no change in the CDBG-CV Grant Program being closed for further applications.
